PrEP/PEP

PrEP(Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis), is a pill that when taken daily, as prescribed by a physician, has been very effective in preventing HIV infection.  The FDA approved PrEP for HIV prevention in 2012 and since that time, HIV infections have steadily begun to slow in many major cities across the U.S.

It can seem that there are many barriers to accessing PrEP and that is where we come in.  If you are considering PrEP, please let us know.  We are happy to assist you in finding the proper Dr. to prescribe for you.  Insurance and paying for PrEP can be rather daunting, but we can help you whether you are insured or not.

PEP- (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), is a round of medications for those who feel that they may have had an exposure to HIV.  PEP should be used only in emergency situations and must be started within 72 hours after a recent possible exposure to HIV. If you think you’ve recently been exposed to HIV during sex or through sharing needles and works to prepare drugs or if you’ve been sexually assaulted, please let us know and we can refer you to the proper Dr.’s that can be of service.
